Along the valleys of Lucca and in the plain of Monte Pisani we’ll admire the beautiful country villas. Most of them were summer residences of noble Italian families and are real examples of different architectural stiles in Tuscany. In fact they were built in a period which dating from 15th to 18th century and different important architect worked and designed them, among which the famous Francesco Juvarra. We’ll visit the most famous: Villa Torrigiani and Villa Reale.
*Villa Torrigiani, amazing 16th century villa, in which the baroque ornamental elements are harmoniously clustered with the original architecture. The main alley with magnificent cypresses make a perfect opening of the spectacular villa with a suggestive multicolored facade and its garden with fountains, jets of water the delicate scent of numerous varieties of ornamental plants.
*Villa Reale, the historical villa of the timeless elegance and refined charm, was the favorite of the Duchess of Lucca and Napoleon’s sister Elisa Baciocchi who was also enchanted by its amazing 16 hectares estate with numerous refined gardens and botanic rarities.
