We start with the famous town of Pisa, acclaimed for its architectural treasures and leaning tower.
Our guided walking tour will focus on the famed Piazza dei Miracoli with the renowned Leaning Tower, Baptistery and Cathedral (*). Each Romanesque masterpiece was constructed between the 11th and the 12th century along with other significant monuments of the surrounding area. After our walking tour there will be plenty of time to take pictures and even shop, if you’d like.
The second part of our guided walking tour takes us to the classic walled town of Lucca, we will enter the town through the archway of the famous walls dating back to the XVI century. Once inside we will visit the charming historical center with the Piazza Anfiteatro, the Torre Guinigi, the Duomo of San Martino, and the “antique dealers’ street”.
Our tour ends with a typical local delicacy tasting in an historic downtown cafè. Then there will be free time to enjoy the enchanting streets at your own leisure before our return to Florence.
(*) In case of inability to visit the Cathedral due to long queues, there will be a guided visit of Piazza dei Cavalieri in Pisa.
